The Economic Operator Registration and Identification (EORI) code is a unique code within the European Union that is assigned to economic operators and other persons by the customs authorities of a Member State.
The EORI code is used to identify economic operators and other persons when dealing with customs, i.e. when carrying out customs formalities (completing import, export, transit customs procedures, submitting applications for issuing permits provided for by customs rules, etc.). It should be noted that an EORI code issued in one Member State is also valid in other Member States, therefore there is no need to register and obtain an EORI code additionally.
